MELANIE RAINES is an interior architecture studio concerned with ontological environments: the idea that by shaping our spaces, we shape ourselves. In an age of aesthetic abundance and collapsing meaning, the studio bridges the traditional disciplines of architecture and interior design with the rarified air of our time: conviction, practice, attention, humanity, rigor.

The central methodology emerged from the studio's research arm, a standing inquiry into the neuroscience and psychology of space. Through its immersive, workshop-based application, the studio thickens the relationship between people and place — choreographing sensorial atmospheres at the meet-cute of art and science.

Taste can be performed, beauty generated, emotional language used without substance. Process alone resists the skin-deep, and its depth is the primary commitment. The studio calibrates what is seen and unseen, giving its cinematic spaces a living quality of resonance.
